Who I Am

I am an open-minded, liberal, free spirit with excellent communication skils and the ability to put people at ease. I am an engaged listener. When you have a session with me, you have my full attention. I do tend to be direct and get straight to the heart of the matter; this is your time and money after all.  If I feel that I am not the best therapist to address your issues, I will tell you.

I am a one-woman operation. I handle all aspects of my practice including billing. When you call for an appointment, you speak with me personally. My practice is a small business and I like it that way. I am not interested in "going global." I am interested in making small but important changes in people's lives one person at a time.

Why sexuality?

My interest in sexuality grew out of my work with couples. I noticed that if I did not bring up their love life, they never would but once I did - look out! I found that addressing sexual issues was an important part of comprehensively working with a couple. Folks love the opportunity to discuss sexual concerns and ask questions. Most people were so relieved to know they were normal. And once I started addressing sexual issues, the clients kept flooding in. I knew that I had found my niche. And though certification as a Sex Therapist is not necessary to practice in the state of Texas, I felt it gave me a level of legitimacy and an edge over people who simply claim the title.
