Most of us did not receive adequate sex education. Our parents were too embarrassed or uninformed so we were forced to learn from our friends or from trial and error. The number of misconceptions about sexuality is astounding.
The Sex Education Series was designed to provide research-based information about sexual anatomy and functioning in a fun but factual setting. The classes are a dialogue where people interact with the instructor and with each other, discussing sexual topics perhaps for the first time. This can be the most powerful component of sex education – learning to speak up.
Each class uses a Power Point presentation, anatomically correct models when needed, and lots of videos. For each class, there are handouts and a resource list for further reading.
